Selling a keyboard with all it's buttons or selling a media keyboard with all the standard buttons plus others to control other functions on your computer.

Not everyone needs a HDD, and if M$ released a really cheap small HDD it wouldn't be as bad at all.

Summary: some people just don't need the extra features, and 15 games/2 controllers/HDMI would probably take up enough time for you to save up for a HDD.

They still only allow 6 cards in their actual store according to the article, and rewriting their database or at least taking a phone order through customer service would probably be cheaper than a lawsuit.

played their cards right... get it guys?

it's a pun... (sry if that kind of comment isn't allowed, I just thought it was funny :(.)

The reason KoToR and JE probably felt fuller is because the sidequests occured over a much smaller area. They had more sidequests, but they didn't have them occurring on other planets. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. I would have been fine with the majority of sidequests being in the major planets you visit with a more vibrant world than stuck on a middle of nowhere cookie cutter planet.

The gain, however, is that you get a much larger scope to the game. Being able to visit...

The legal trouble has to do with it being in a mall. If they made a second one that was in a different setting, it would be fine.

Given the low software sales of the PS3, and the extra cost of development, it might balance out in the end.

Then you have the fact that they might just have a deal with M$ for LP.

Don't count out the fact that it might be a $25 game if it's just multiplayer. For that price it might be worth it.

playing as the bugs is a pretty awesome idea.

I got so tired of the stand in boxes that somehow appeared across the galaxy in every single sidequest. I just wish they put a little bit more into making each environment look more unique rather than a variant of a template.

So I guess it should read all the textures every time their called then? Sounds efficient to me.

Rage is being highly constricted by the ammount of VRAM. The developers have said this openly.

I don't get how I get 9 disagrees for stating facts about the PS3's system design.

So they could be holding onto second like they are now, or they could be struggling in third. Decisions decisions.

360 is on pace to easily beat the original xbox, and will take away a huge portion of Sony's marketshare. That's not even mentioning that it's actually profitable. That sounds pretty successful as it is now.

was the least important thing in those reasons.

Doesn't mean more detailed games. There isn't enough memory in the system to make them more detailed. They can be bigger, and less compressed, but it can't get enough of the data fast enough to make it more detailed.

Rage for example is going to be a lot more detailed on both the PC and 360 versions than the PS3 version.

So where do you think they would have made the extra 9 million sales? If PS3 and 360 came out at the same time, brand loyalty would have come into play a lot more on those first 9 million people.

There's no way sales would be as high as they are today. Once price drops hit and new more reliable boxes come out, the 360 will be fine, and still have that 9 million box headstart.

They increased their pay almost 5 times. That's rediculous considering they may not even get bought out yet. When considered as a cost to stock holders, the guy suing them has every right to be pissed.

it has a hardcore/movie watching crowd, if that's what you mean.

McDonalds isn't even in the same realm as the 360 in terms of product popularity/acceptance. The atari also didn't face any major japanese competition.

how you disregard the article you posted in, which said that the supply issues have been dealt with.

I have to agree with silellak that they probably drastically overestimated the demand for the arcade SKU. M$ usually does a better job of market analysis, and the excitement over the Wii probably skewed the numbers in a huge way that more than likely through off numbers. They probably isolated the price of the wii a little more than they should have without taking innovation int...

Have you considered teh possibility that M$ might have put a lot of it's manufacturing resources into the European SKUs to prepare for the price drop. A slight shortage in NA is not the same as global shortages.

Also, I think the only month M$ confirmed shortages for was January after a strong holiday season. Don't blame them for what the analysts say.

There was an article a while ago that had strong evidence for 3 or 4 new 360 motherboards (one of which will use the new chips, but be compatible with old 360 cases for repairs and refurbishing woot), so it's not hard to believe that there would be a price cut for each one.

I'd expect a price drop bringing the premium down to the price of the arcade, the arcade dropping just under the Wii (probably not under $200, but maybe if they want to get REALLY agressive), and maybe a new...
